A recipent of our email gets the following error message:
Part 1.2 Type: application/ms-tnef
Encoding: base64

We are using Outlook 2000 and trying to send a .jpg file to them, and they get this error. They are using I believe Netscape.
Any ideas why this is happening?

Thanks

Is the JPG embeded in the email message or is it an attachment.

You may also want to check the Mail format (HTML, Plain Text, or Rich Text)

I think there is also an option for sending attachments uuencoded. You may want to try changing it.

She switched it from Rich Format to Plain Text, and now it works.

She can attachments to other people and it works fine it is just with just this one recipent. I think they are using Netscape mail and we use Outlook 2000, it must be not compatible when using Rich Format.

Thanks For Your Help!

I am having this same problem, only I am on the receiving end. I am using Netscape 7.0 for email and some of my clients are using Outlook. They can send me attachments (.dwg,.tif, etc...) and all I get is a 'part 1.2' attachment that is unusable. I am not sure how much success I will have getting them to alter their settings for me, is there any kind of patch/update or setting I can change on MY END that can resolve this??? Please help! Thanks!
