Every few weeks I get a call from the attendent that she cannot park calls. I went to the main console and tried it myself. I come back in a day and I don't hear any complaints becuase it began to work again. What could be causing this Intermittent problem?

It would help if we knwe a bit more about the system - type, software vintage, modules, type of phones, etc.

Merlin Legend rel 7.0 v14.2. The main console is a MLX24D with the extra console for the extensions. The remainder of the system is using MLX10D phones.
Module list:
008MLX
008MLX
800GS/LS
012T-R
008ATL
008MLX (x9)
007MLM 6 port Voice Mail

Have you checked the processor error logs for any clues? Is the main console an analog BIS-34D or an MLX 20L or 28D? If it's a BIS-34D - it could be a TTR availability issue. I would also reboot the processor - since that often clears up sporadic errors.

Attendant probably does not have ENOUGH System Access buttons.

In fact, I'd be willing to bet on it.

Add More SA Buttons and problem should go away.

Some time ago we were going to set-up a “queued call” console but a tech talked us out of it. He suggested to add more SA buttons which I did. I now have 9 SA buttons available. At the time I saw this problem happen, the console was clear of any calls. I dialed in with a cell phone and the system when I tried to park the call, the park extension acted as if it was dead.
I checked the log and in the last 99 errors there has been “Command Buffer Full” and “Invalid Sanity Response" from 09/07/2005 to 09/13/2005.

Last 99 System Errors:

A Message ss/pp Cnt First Last Code
A COMMAND BUFFER FULL 01/00 - - 09/12 17:23:16 000E
A INVALID SANITY RESPONSE 01/00 - - 09/13 08:32:27 7804
A COMMAND BUFFER FULL 01/00 - - 09/13 08:32:27 000E

Sounds like a "SICK PUPPY" some how.

I would first remove (DROP) all errors and then reboot with a POWER DOWN and BACK UP, and see if the GREMLINS go away.

Start there and we shall see....
