Parameters in report

Hello,

I have a query set to the following criteria:
<[Work Request #:]

I have designed a report to pull data using the query,
When the user opens the report, I want them to enter a Work Request # and I would like the report to pull up all the data corresponding to that WR # - please help me write a event procedure for the report.

Hi there--not sure what your issue is. You say you have the report based on the query, and the query has the criteria in it. Are you getting some kind of error? Is it not behaving how you would like it? Again..sorry but i'm not clear on what your question is?

I am sorry - well, when I run the report, a pop-up box comes up asking for the WR #
and when I enter the #, the report comes out blank - am I supposed to have an "Event Procedure" or something for that field? - no clue what to do-

First question, when you run the query directly do you get any rows displayed?

No, I am not getting anything - now I feel dumb - I should have tested that -

The only criteria I have in the query is
<[Work Request #:] under work request.

Hi

OK so look at the table, note a work request number

run the query, enter the Work request number you know exists

anything listed?

If no look at query are there any joins?

If yes, investigate if joined column(s) have matcbhing values in respective tables

Hi There!

Thanks for your help!

I cleared the criteria field in the query-
I opened the query in design view, clicked on query and then parameters and entered Work Request #
and it worked!!!!both the query & the report!
