Hello,

Is is possible to create a list of values that also has a description to import into a parameter field in crystal for visual studio 2005.

Thank you

If you create a separate Crystal Report that uses the value field and a description field, you can run the report, export it as tab-separated text to WordPad, use find/replace to replace the " with nothing, then save the file, and then import it as a list of values.

Hmmm, seems strange that I can't create the value and description in notepad and just import it. Ok, I will try what you recommended. Thank you.

LB I just did what you said. When I opened the .txt file, I figured out that the required character to use is the tab key. So I created a new .txt file, typed in the value, then pressed the tab key and typed in the description. I imported that file and both the value and description were imported, which is what I was trying to figure out. Thank you so much!

If you create it in notepad, why not just create it from scratch within the parameter editor box? The point of having CR do it is so you don't have to manually create it.

The reason that I want to import the data is so that I can spell check it first.
