Hopefully, someone can assist in this,

Upon deleting several fields on my main table, I am prompted with a error dialog that requests I enter information for all of the fields that were just deleted.

What am I doing incorrect?

Should I delete the links to the other tables before I delete the fields?

What is the correct method to delete fields from the local Access table?

Thanks in advance.

Deciphering your post, I sense the existance of the deleted fields in some queries you are executing. If those fields were also used for parameterized filtering you should also check the parameters left over in declaration (on the menu Query-->Parameters).

There are tools for finding where table fields are in use inside queries.

JerryKlmns,

Thanks for the insight.

Is it possible to list several tools I can use to find where table fields are in use inside the queries?

Also, what is the preferred steps (in order) to delete fields in a local Access table?

preferred steps (in order) to delete fields in a local Access table
no form nor report with control bound to the field
no query using the field
no VBA code (DLookUp, RunSQL, ...) using the field
no RelationShip using the field
delete the field

Hope This Helps, PH.
