Hi,
I'm using Crystal 8.5/SQL 2000 and have a report that uses a parameter called system type. I want the user to be able to dynamically see all values in the system_type table and be able to select any one, but it seems like Crystal will only let me "Load" default values in the Set Default Value screen under Parameters. Therefore, if values are added or changed in the underlying table, the user won't see them unless I "reload" the values in the parameter set default values screen.

Am I missing something? Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks

Unfortunately you understand this gross oversight, you need a 3rd party viewer or external code to do this.

Thanks for your help. I didn't see any way around it. Did they correct this in version 9?

No, even though many of us whined incessantly...

I asked if they thought it might be in CR 10, and one source told me no.

Pretty annoying...

Have a look "cView Pick" from Chelsea Technologies:

or my DataLink Viewer:

Ken Hamady has a free e-mail Newsletter you can subscribe to at: His June 2003 issue discusses exactly this issue.
