parallel ringing on group 2

is it possible to have 5 digital extns all ring for a group call. I have tried to set up on digital phones using MDN. The MDN number is an analogue extn. Problem is that only 1 call can then be answered..ie next call is engaged as the analogue port is being used.
System is BC9.
The customer would also like the group call to redirect to operator if unanswered after 20 secs.

Hello,

Use COMMON BELL feature.
CBELI:GRP=,equ=,serv=,traf=,que=:
where equ is position of signalling equipment. It is additional phone which is ringing when there is call to group. Any of group members can pick this call up.

use MNS not MDN, MNS will free analogue line as extension take the call, put a CDINI on the analogue phone to 0. divert time is SY global setting.

maybe also you can set ADN on digital on one of phones and MNS to that, again with CDINI to 0 on ADN. no need for analogue here.

bc12 command is slightly different :

to initiate an mns do this

KSMDIIR=X,MDN=Y,DIG=Y;

no need for ksfkc anymore...

maybe a stupid quesion but whats the difference between mdn and mns?

MDN is Monitor
MNS is Manager-Secretary

basically... A calls B, B monitored by C.

If MDN on C is pressed call is taken on C but B is still busy to callers (this is problem stated that leads to the question here).

If MNS on C is pressed call is taken on C and B is free for next call.
