We just upgraded to Windows XP on a Novell Network version 3.83 system. When I try to print from Paradox version 9, the printer goes into a loop and continously prints the same page. Does anyone know of a solution to this problem?
You may need to patch Paradox 9 to the SP3 (or later). Corel no longer has the patch information for that version on their website, but you can find it at ftp://ftp.corel.com/pub/WordPerfect/wpwin/9/wp9sp3.
Choose Help | About and see if your version is 9.0.0.738 or later. If not, obtain and apply the patch from the ftp folder.
If the problem still occurs, then you may need to check your printer driver.
Corel did create a SP4 for WPO 2000/Paradox 9, but they did not distribute it as a patch. the only way to obtain it is to contact Corel's Customer Service department and order new CD's containing the patched files. Have your serial number handy before calling, as they'll use that to verify that you truly have a Paradox 9 license.
I have also heard that Paradox 10 does not exhibit any printing problems under Novell, so you may need to upgrade. (I know that the Paradox dev team at the time placed a high priority on finally smacking the printing gremlins that plagued Paradox since the 32-bit version of Paradox 7 was released. According to rumor, they finally got them in during the version 10 dev cycle. Mind you, that's only a rumor; I can't say whther or not it's accurate.)

Thanks to everyone for responding to my question about printing from Paradox 9 running under Win XP on a Novell network. I finally resolved this issue by right clicking on the printer driver, selecting "PROPERTIES", selecting "ADVANCED" and then unchecking "SEND PRINT to SPOOLER". I then checked "SEND PRINT DIRECTLY to PRINTER" and this solved my problem.
