The Text Import Expert for my Paradox 7 program was working fine a few days ago, but now for some reason it will not work even though all the other Experts do. I've tried reinstalling the Experts from the CD with no luck and have also tried installing the latest Paradox 7 patch. Is there something else I have overlooked? Should I try reinstalling the entire program? Are there Paradox gremlins in my PC wreaking havoc as I speak?

Yes, I do get two Import Expert Errors after clicking Run Expert: "Unable to create the settings table used by the Import Expert. You will not be able to save your import settings," followed by another error message: "The Paradox expert, 'Text Import', could not be run. Please reinstall the Experts and try again."
I don't get the "Step 1 of 8 dialog box" at all.
This is all rather strange considering that all was working quite well a few days ago; I haven't changed any of the settings on my PC, so don't know what to try next. Suggestions?

You should check you BDE settings just to make sure.
"Unable to create the settings table used by the Import Expert. You will not be able to save your import settings,"
Not sure what caused this error, I would check to make sure you have all the directories in …\Experts\… directory.
They are:
Button; chart; Database; Field; Form; Import; Label; Launcher; Merge; Report; Startup; Table; Text
Make sure:
…\Experts\Import directory exists and is not write-protected.
"The Paradox expert, 'Text Import', could not be run. Please reinstall the Experts and try again."
This error is caused by missing …\Experts\Import directory.
Try installing Pdox on any computer and see if the same problem exist.
