Paper not feeding C2428

I have just bought on auction (for$58!) an Docuprint C2428 A3 colour laser. It had a 'replace drum U2' fault code. I have replaced the drum and the waste toner bottle and it's now 'ready to print'. So far so good.
I have attempted to print reports etc off the menu, but no good.
It gives a paper jam error. In fact there is no jam, the paper isn't feeding in correctly. Out of tray 1 it nearly gets through to the top roller then stops, out of tray 2 it only gets about half way up. This points to a bottom roller not doing it's thing correctly?
I'm new to these machines and some diagnostic/repair guidance would be greatly appreciated. Any links to repair manuals?

Most likely it's separation pads are worn, as well as the rollers. A sticky solonoid flapper, or the fuser is going bad.

There was a roller assembly missing, now it's printing. However the paper is coming out with a slight crease in it. It would appear that its going into the fuser creased and the heat is 'ironing' it quite nicely!
Any thoughts on how to fix this?
