My phone system, Panther 612 KSU possibly went out. Does the red light under the line connections indicate anything if it is flickering or does it have to be steady. The phones are completely dead what else can be wrong when the only sign is the flickering red light. Please assist.

Are you sure its a Panther 612? Never heard of that. Go back to the system and see what written on each module and report back with a list in order from left to right.

It is a trillium system I bet. You will have better luck on the general telephony discussion forum of the sundance communications forum board

TouchToneTommy, thank you for your response. Are you able to provide any additional support? Other than the flickering red light, everything else is dead. I was able to find a refurbished box thinking mine blew out with a power surge or something but when I connected the replacement, it does the exact same thing. All the phones on the system are completely dead like if they weren't connected. Any idea of what may fix this problem? Thanks...

sounds like the refurb is bad ,I would send it back for a replacment .

I am assuming you have tried only connecting a single phone to the KSU eleminating station wiring

balboarecords,

If my mind has not failed me, I believe that system has an internal fuse. They are hard to locate when one blows. I would try that.

All phones are dead? The 612 usually has a battery unit that is below it detached from the rest of the system, maybe it is not good and should be replaced?
