Some of our 5.0.11 users spuratically get the Big Red box of death stating the subject error. Some might be in the middle of typing a note, some might hit the space bar. It's random and in no special pattern.
Notes shuts downs and you have to reboot. Sometimes deleteing the cache and noteslock file works but not aways. KILLNOTES is not the best remedy when managers ask what the cause and resolution is. Does anyone know what causes this Red box error or any other Memory Reference error that causes notes to completed shut down?
Thanks

I would really like an answer to this as well. We see it very often and usually for the same people. Deleting the CACHE.DSK works for a few days but then it is back again. It is frustrating to tell the user, "this is just something that happens in Notes."

Don't know about Win XP. In the past I found that if a user's HD space is <50 MG free then RBofD occurs. Also if your users have less than 128 MB of RAM you will have problems.

Our users all have fairly large hard drives. (We just moved everything to XP so these are relatively new, clean hard drives and everything has 256 MG RAM or higher.)
