Panel Control Question

Hi

I have a page which has several panel controls which are hidden and revealed from variouse buttons, depending on user clicks.

In side each panel control I have placed a user control which pulls data a database and display different bits of information, However I was wondering when a panel is hidden does teh user control still get rendered (increase downlaod time) to the page? As I think I read somewhere that anything inside a panel control does not get rendered until its visable. However Im not to is this applies to a user control which is inside a panel?

I'm not sure, but can you put a breakpoint on your Page_load within the user control and use the debugger to see if you hit it if the panel is hidden?

That is correct: if you hide the panel it does not get rendered. Nor do the controls within the panel.
