Thankyou for the quick response.
My equipment arrives on monday and will be staging it in the office.
I have dsp64 which i believe gives me 16trunks 32 ext (virtual)with activation key.
Can I test after config with IP Addresses use a crossover cable or a small 4 port switch/hub.
I am hoping to achieve this and have centralized vmail with ext. to ext. dialing.
yes, you can test this with a hub/crossover cable. you will have to set up a virtual ipgateway card in both system and have different number plans for the extensions in each system.
come back when you get the equippment with any questions, we will do our best to help
I do have other questions. Customer would like to keep the same numbering scheme. This meaning both sites would have extensions starting with the same prefix ie 1XX 2XX. They do not have same extensions at both locations. My question is, after re-numbering extensions to reflect the current numbering, does it matter even though not using SVM, OGM, Paging which default with 501,502 591 ect. can I leave them alone or should there be NO duplicate extensions/DN at all, at both locations.
Also I am going to have 12 lines at one location with both sites sharing. Instead of having a CO button for each line can I have a G-DN button or 2 and Call PK buttons to save on buttons. Thankyou.
It would be easer to change them to different numbers so they can be dialed straight i.e system 1 is 1xx range system 2 is 2xx, if you pick up the handset and dial 101 from any system it will go to system 1. if you have the same numbers on both sides, then calling the opposite system you would have to put in a system number ie 2-101 or dial 7 for VOIP lines then 101.
the easiest way is to set extensions to 4 digit and have 11xx and 12xx on one system and 21xx and 22xx on second system, the people will just have to add 1 digit to their extension range.
duplicate extensions/codes will stop them being used on the opposite system without adding extra numbers in front.
for co buttons you can use g co buttons, or just use 9.
on the system with no lines, you will have to set up routing on the gateway for different number dial plans
Ok. Have eqip. I have ext 2 ext working but is slow when dialed manualy. NDSS works fine. Centralized Vmail seems to be working . I was hoping the quick setup would have created mbox for location 2 but did not. Setup manually worked ok.
The trouble I seem to be having is making outside call from location 2. Cannot grab a line. LCOTS are in Loc.1 (TDE200)
Loc1 has ext 1xx 2xx, Loc 2 has ext 3xx 4xx as per customer wishes.
Dial 9 hoping for outside line then dial XXXXXXXX but no outside line.Any assistance would be great.
Thanks
Here is a little help I got from Panasonic on this. After you set this up you could also then use ARS to set it up to dial and use these trunks for all outbound calls.
1. DN2IP table needs "9" with 11 follow digits
2. Hunt Pattern table needs "9" in it.
3. The IPGW Trunk Group and the CO Line Trunk Group need COS (Class of Service) 1 assigned to them. Default is COS 7.
4. The Trunk Group Dialing Plan needs to be modified to support this.
3.Group -> 1.Trunk Group -> 4.Dialing Plan
1. 9N11
2. 9NXXNXXXXXX
3. 91NXXNXXXXXX
4. N11
5. NXXNXXXXXX
6. 1NXXNXXXXXX

thankyou so much. I spent most of the day playing around with getting the system to an almost workable config but this last part of the puzzle was challenging. Before leaving work I had the 9 in where you have advised but had had enough. My install is tomorrow and heres hoping goes well. It is not going to happen in one day as I have two old systems to remove, but I really need to get at least one of the TDEs up and running.
Also like to thank obtsystems for the helpful advice. Great site..
does anyone know if you were to have calls answered by the AA via Custom Service and the caller then enters the extension they wish to contact if the call is treated as an external call or internal. My customer wants calls during the day to go straight to vmail if calling classrooms. Not all calls need to go straight to vmail, only classrooms. Only calls from internal will ring the classrooms.
It is seen as internal from vm. If you want all calls through the aa to the classrooms to go to vm all the time set all to mailbox to yes in each mailbox settings and if that ext is dialed coming through the aa it will send it to it's mailbox. You won't need fwd set on the extension
I have both systems working, extension to extension, external calls can be made from both sites. Voicemail almost working but for message waiting. Certain extensions be it digital or SLT with msg waiting lights do not work. DT346/3 phones on local system working with msg waiting and also extra msg wait buttons for shared mailboxes. My problem is with the networked system. NDSS is a bit of hit and miss. Some extension do not show up in the NDSS KEY TABLE.Am I missing something or not doing it in order.
I need an extension with personal m/box and a msg waiting for another m/box. Any advice?
Thanks in advance
You also need the activation key for enhanced features for NDSS and centralized voice mail.
After programming an NDSS button you have to activate it by pressing it on the extension you programmed it on. After you activate it should then work fine.
I have activation key in both systems and as mentioned I have some ndss buttons working but not all. I program a button (NDSS) with the remote extension, go off hook, press the NDSS and hang up. Most have taken and work fine but just have a few that will not.Look at NDSS key table and most have the # of the PBX ID except ones not working. I can press the button and get to the extension but does not report BLF
I also have slight problem with calling out of the TDE200 main pbx with LCOTs. I dial and looking on the display I see the number being dialled but not the full # only 7 digits ???
Thanks
Hey, Dalavar01.
I have 2 KX-NCS4910 one for each system.
2 x KX-TDE0111 64 CH VOIP DSP w/4SHGW+4IPPT8 (DSP64)
TDE200 PBX ID1 and TDE100 PBX ID2.
Network OP, Ext 100 V1
Network OP, Ext 320 V1
Did not get time to look at my problem with outgiong calls from TDE200 with lcots. But still have issue. Dialing long distance.
Calls establish ok. Looking at display only 1st 7 digits show.
Thanks
Have to check that on Tuesday, I know is happening at main site. I am not at work today. The earlier advice you gave me reference to dial plan (9Nxx and so on) I put that on both sites, do you think that may be problem, should I have only at remote site. Main site goes straight to LCOTs.
On problem with my MSW Light for another mbox, I am using mailbox of an DXDP which is not in use. Would it better to create a new mbox.
I would not use dialing plan, this is mainly to tell system when last digit is dialed so it will release mute, if this table is not set correctly it will cause problems, plus it will not take affect when 9 is dialed on system 2 because it sees it as other PBX. if you were going to use it, it is on the system with the Co's connected to it
if the Co's are on system 1 then in system two, 9 should be in other pabx and tie table should be set 9 goes to the trunk group of the gateway trunks. 9 should be set on system 1 as incoming number. this will pick up co on first system and send digits to co. set inter-digit timer to about 5 and it will speed up the dialing
As far as the NDSS buttons, you have to press the NDSS button to call the phone at the remote office, and the called extension has to answer the call. If the called extensions don't answer the calls, the NDSS buttons will not work.
