I have a TD 1232 Pansonic. When calls ring in, there is a 1/2 ring and the switch picks up, then drops the call. It does this on all lines. Phone lines checked ok by phone company. Moved the switch to a different building and all lines work normally. Phone company still says lines are good. Ordered tested, refubished switch and install. Same problem, switch will not work at one building and will at other locations. Phone company says Panasonics are both bad. Put up a Toshiba refurbuished switch and it is working. Has anyone had this type of problem with Panasonic?

if its a td then surly it just a case of doing a loop back from an slt port onto the lines pos ... if it works than its the supplier .if not than its site

I installed the switch at another building Friday. It has been working fine all weeked and is still working now. I am sure there is something wrong with the CO lines that both of the Panasonics do not like. However it is impossible to convince the phone company that it is their problem when the Toshiba switch works, and a butt set will ring. I just had to buy an extra Panisonic I did not need, and a Toshiba switch I dont think I need. In other words because I had no way to prove the phone company wrong, it cost me $6000 for 2 phone switchs, and a bunch of Toshiba phones.

Panasonic switches are not very forgiving of loop current. Did you check yours?

I did measure the ring voltage at 90v and was in the process of measureing ring frenquency when ATT says it does not matter what I measure, lines meet minimum spec. They will do nothing. I guess I have been greeted with Bell South AT&T customer service. I think I will go back and finish the measurements just for my information. Thanks,

Hmmm, I guess the answer is NO. Check loop current, not ring voltage, not ring frequency.
