pbx got hacked, someone was calling international calls from the pbx/ vm system - got call from ATT about unusual activity - asking me to take measure - I've seen this in the past that hackers logs into the vm system and then dials international calls - how do I change settings on the Panasonic KX-TVS200 vm? reset passwords? but how? i was able to login to the vmbox using putty / serial connection

thanks

Putty is the way to programme that system

Most important thing is to put vm ports on the phone system into cos 7

Mailbox 998 and 999 will need a strong password. You can do this through the extensions

Thanks for you response, how do I make sure the port are on the cos7 and doesn't let me pick the password
please see attched image,
thanks

The class of service setting needs to be done on the pbx not the voicemail.
