Hi

Hopefully someone can help me I have been pulling my hair out with this now

basically we had a KX-T1232 we upgrade to the KX-TD1232E for mainly caller ID

I have setup the system correctly I think so I am where we was with the old system

so the problems I have are and what I have found

From what I can see there is not 1 or 2 space for the caller id card the bottom of the box with the door open just has space for a 8CO card that I have installed at the top there is space for remote and interconnector card that's it

the unit with nothing in would be 0CO lines and 16EXT
for what I have found the last models lost the 8CO lines and gained door phone and opener and caller id I have the door phones working

I found that the caller id card would fit on the 4CO line units that fit to the door so I got one of them and there is no way to fit the card to it no ports maybe just the unit I have but was for a Version 6 unit the unit works once plugged in

I have tried to programme it to work and 406 just beeps at me and will not got to the options this is in the installer programme

The guy in the UK before me used ISDN on the unit but now in France I don't think you can get ISDN not that I need it I only have 2 lines used anyway

so I hope someone could shed some light on this for me

Thanks
Peter

The uk system did not support caller id on analogue lines
If there is I never saw on in the last 25 years I was doing them

Hi and thank you for your message i think that sums it up then!

I do have a few other qustions

i have never messed with ISDN but is it possable to use a ISDN unit on an analogue line to get caller ID or is it a 2 way thing that needs setup at the phone copanies end

If i got a KX-TD1232 imported from amarica would this work if not - What are the KX-TD193 Caller ID cards for?

or if i imported a 4CO unit from america with a KX-TD193?

If all this is not likely to work is there any Panasonic system about the same that supports caller id that i could get for not a bad price on a aution site that would support the phones from this system i have quite a few now and a few of the digital phones KX-T7436 this is all for home use really

Thanks for you advice just my look 300GBP later and no better then before

Thanks

no pots line on a isdn card but you could get a few isdn lines and divert calls to new numbers and you would get caller id

Thanks for the reply not sure if I can get a ISDN line in France I did have a read about EuroISDN but can not find any suppliers but if the prices are like BTs this is a very expensive service for just Caller ID

Isdn is cheaper here in Ireland compare to two pot lines
You won't get caller id from using pot ports on isdn box
You would have to get a tda system with caller ID cards

Cards from other regions won't work on td form eu
You would have to get a full system from the states
