Hi
I have installed a KX-TD1232 and the customer wishes to use executive overide to listen to his agents as a training tool
I have installed quite a few KX-TD1232 but never needed this programme step

Its Version 6 software and programme 505 and 506 are not present?

Are these hidden and need turning on in some way ie via programme 991?

Also I guess there are some COS issues?

Is it available only via Laptop programming?

Any help would be appreciated

Mike

do you ppd1232 its right there in class of service settings

were are you trying to program the system from jack 1 x 101

Hi

Thanks for reply cwc3, in COS? can you be more specific.

I was programming from jack 1 (201 in this case)

Can you help with the steps required?

Regards
Mike

Almost anyone here can help you with the steps. First, what do you get when you try to read program 100? If you can't get there, and I'll bet that's the case, then you are not programming from Jack 1-1 which is extension 101 by default. Until you get there via PROGRAM *#, you can't see anything above 100.

Once you access 505, turn on EBO.

Thanks for reply LkEErie

i am programming from jack 1-1 and i can see every programme but 505 and 506 are not available to me?
I can see all the other COS programs?
Is it a UK thing or was the software the same everywhere?

I have even spoken to a my Panasonic supplier and he has fired up another version 6 and programmes 505 and 506 where not available to them also?

The feature code 733 0 or 1 is also not recognised when entered?

Is there another way to listen to calls

Mike

Whw. We'll have to get our resident U.K. expert OBT to look at the docs for the TD systems. Perhaps that feature was deleted in the U.K.

Hi LkEErie

Thanks an answer would be great, I am sure I did this 8 or so years ago so it was available at some point maybe an old version 3 or 4 maybe.

If OBT knows it would be much appreciated

Regards
Mike

I went through the manaul and could not see anything. I have not used it in a long time. only reference is overide deny, so if the deny is disabled maybe it will let it work. I have not looked in the bit table yet, will come back if I find something else

Thanks OBTSystems

Much appreciated,
My manuals state 505 and 506 but as previously said programme not there when in programming mode???
It says both extensions must be enabled in 505 for it to work?

Maybe a change in the bit table will cure it, any help would be great.

Do you think it was there in an old version ie 3 or 4?

The customer isn't doing anything complicated just dialling out virtually no incoming calls so an old version
would'nt be a problem.

Regards
Mike

There are no bits. Do you have programs beyond 506? I think ours runs up to about 511.
See if you have 501-511.

Hi

I have connected with ppd1232 and the executive busy overide is not there either??????

In COS in PPD jumps from Call Fwd to CO (504) to DND Overide (507)

505 and 506 missing !!!!!!!!!!!

Any ideas pulling hair out!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Regards
Mike

Hi Chaps

Thanks for trying to help with the Exec Overide.

It seems this is not available through 505 & 506 in the UK

I have have to change bits in 990 and 991 to achieve it, you can then ring extension press 3 and you have silently join their call

Thanks
Mike

Well found, I am glad those systems are nearly gone... just shows the leap forward in telephone systems in the last 6-7 years

SIX OR SEVEN That systems technology is 20 yrs ago the latest and greatest is in its 6th incantation ...

STOP IT YA OLD FART!

Hard to believe but I went to TD school in the spring of 1994.

ya, but it is only gone for the last 6-7 years. Even though I am putting a callrecorder on a 1232. the recorder will be worth more than the whole system
