I have been asked to look into the system programming programing of a Panasonic KX-NCP500. However it looks as though the Installer password (1234) has been changed. I've heard you can look at the DBSYS on the SD card to find the password. Can I pull the SD card out of the sys. hot? Once I have it what do I look for in the DBSYS? If anybody has any instructions that they could pass on I would greatly appreciate it. The customer is having some SIP problems and I need to check the setup.

Tun the Machine off, unplug from mains outlet and use a card reader to copy off the.

To transfer files to the PC
1. From the Utility menu, select File Transfer PBX (SD Card) to PC.
2. Select the file to download (DBSYS)from the list of files on the SD memory card.
Only the files listed in the table above can be downloaded. Selecting any other file will cause an error
message to be displayed.
3. Click Transfer.
The Save dialog box will be displayed
4. Navigate to the folder in which you want to save the file.
5. Enter a file name.
6. Click Save.
A window showing the download progress will be displayed.

Once done, open the DBSYS file using Maintenance console and go to program 11.Maintenance 1.Main
On the far right there is Password

If this procedure has errors, correction is appreciated



 
yes you can take the card out when it is running, copy private folder to pc and put it back, it will not affect the running of the system.
you may not be able to see the password of the installer as the later versions of the software will not show it offline.

you can get Panasonic to reset if you are a dealer. there is ways of looking at the file itself, but you would have to know where to look
 
UPDATE , I could retrieve the passwords using TDE password reminder

I tried to open DBSYS file using the

Any solution to recover the passwords please ?
