Ive got some users on our Win2k Domain who have Palm Zire devices. We recently upgraded our clients to XP Pro and NTFS local volumes. Apparently the increased security is interfering with hotsync. The only way we have been able to get our users to hotsync since then is by giving them local machine Administrator accounts. We cant just go around making anybody and everybody administrators, does anyone have any work-a-rounds for this problem? We've tried giving "everyone" access to "palm related" registry keys and folders but still cant get the right combination.

any suggestions would be appreciated.

well, if anybody else runs into this, here's the convoluted answer. You have to make your user a network administrator, not a local machine admin, but an admin on your network. Then you install and configure your palm. Once everything is working you then remove the admin rights from your user. That seems to work.
