I have a palm that was configured for a user at his old job and wants to use his palm at his new job. He wants to keep the information that is on his palm now like e-mail addresses, phone numbers etc. I dont know what OS he used before or what version of outlook he had before, but when I try to synch his palm to Outlook 2002, it asks to if I want to create a new account. I am fairly new to palm devices, but I am not sure what it is trying to do. Do palms have user id's and could the problem be that the user id on the palm just needs to be configured to his new user id. Is that a simple fix. I hope someone can give me an idea of what I should do because the owner of the palm is not sure of what is going on.

Palm will not synch with outlook 2002

Your almost there! When you get the prompt to add new user, click yes. It should automatically start to sync w/ your Palm's user. There is a chance that it might ask you to enter a user name. If so, make sure you type it in exactly as it is listed on his Palm, though I think you will find it will do it automatically.
