I have found it difficult to change type once it has been input.... Is there an easy way?
Thanks,
The version I use is 4.12, and while it is sometimes difficult, I can ususally get it to work. What kind of change were you trying to make to your text?

I generally use the "rectangle full" with the
background color and box around the type I want
to throw away. Then I add the changed type.

You're right. My solution is to ALWAYS put text in a different layer.
Then it is possible to go back and fiddle with just that layer.
When I think I'm done I save the graphic first as a PSP file so that after I see
my final gif on the site and HATE it, I can still make changes to the PSP file.

Don't underestimate the power of layers, as slr2 points out. For every element create a new layer because it makes editing a whole lot easier.
