We have several g3si's tied into our g3r and one of the principals asked if she could page one school while she is at another school. Any help would be great!!

Thanks.

If your switches are DCS'd together, then you will need to do some fancy ARS routing to accomodate the paging in another building.
If you have tie-trunks between locs, then you must setup a special route pattern in your primary loc.

You need to establish a paging code number in the terminating bldg.: 7700
We use 4 digit dialing. What do you use?

Establish a route pattern as follows:

The route pattern must have the trk grp of the tie-trunk grp in it:

Grp FRL No. Del Inserted
No. Digits Digits
29 0 7 7700

Setup routing in your Uniform Dial Plan:
Matching Pattern Len Del Insert digits Net
2077 4 0 277 aar

Hope this helps

If your systems are tied via DCS try playing with group paging. This will activate the speakers on 32 sets and you can make your page. It wont go to the overhead system but it's worth a try. Hey wait is the overhead paging system a extension?? try placing it in the group page as well.

Just thinking out loud

1a2 to ip I seen it all

If you have remote access turned on you should be able to
use the paging code. Your location is transparent to the
switch.(I think?)
