Paging with the Nortel 1140E

Has anyone had a problem with paging over the 1140E phones? We have a Nortel CS1000 and when we try to do a building page (around 300 phones) about 75 to 100 do not get the page. We have wipe out the software on the application gateway and loaded the lastest software. I made sure all the phones are in the page group. I'm working with Nortel on the problem, but was wondering if anyone else has or had this problem.

You using a paging system and dialing the paging code or page thru the phone like BCM/Norstar intercom paging?
 
And when did this feature come out?

Has been available for a couple of years with the Nortel Application Gateway 1000/2000 (which was actually discontinued just before the transition to Avaya - notice is on There are a couple of products through Developer Program that can utilize the same technology.
 
We're in the process of implementing AG 2000 for a customer with a mix of IP 1110 and IP 1120/1140 phones. The implementation has been a bear - but so long as the customer understands the capacities and limitations of the system (and believe me there are plenty), it's a pretty decent system.

As said above, it's been MD'ed by Avaya and there no further development meaning no new releases or patches.

If phones are not receiving pages, it probably because the phone is in use on a telephone call and/or never properly registered to the AG 2000 server. Try rebooting the phone first and see if it goes through.

Unfortunately the documentation for AG 2000 is crap at best but the support tech at Nortel was helpful in getting answers from Citrix regarding undocumented bugs and other issues with the system.
