I'm having a hard time hooking up a paging system and was hoping that the problem was with the RTMB since everything else looks good. Trouble is I don't know what the RTMB (Route Member Number) corresponds to.
you need to add a route, ld 16, if your using a pag trunk, then the rdb needs to reflect that.. the acod will be your dial access, then build the trunk as a pag trunk, the new route number you just built member 1.. i build them as wat or cot soi can set the tfd timer to 90 seconds so the page system can't remain locked up on a hold or roh
no you'll need a paging adapter, valcomm or ?, a pbx can't page 1000's of phones, the power required would be unreal. older rolm had area page with limits at 32 phones.. you can use a single digital set with auto answer for a single area.
Well, I already have the routes as well as the acod set up. We have three paging system set up on our base. The programming all looks the same, not identical of course, but in the same format, except for the RTMB numbers. They all appear to be completely random. Two of the three paging systems are operational. I am probably digging here because I have no other leads. Once I dial the 4 digit extension plus 0 I get a fast busy. Any other tips?? Thank you, by the way.
after you dial the 4 digits, acod? is the 0 1 a digit you need for the pager.. route and member are not random, they may have been entered by a randon person..
my 4 page routes are 31,32,33,34, the acod's are 8031,8032,8033 and 8034 the rtmb are 31 1, 32 1, 33 1, and 34 1,, but i like my software in a logical order.. if the 0 and 1 are zones, the answer is in 49, you'll need to init a new nfrl table to an allow table.. that was the old way pre bars, we used 9 for the acod on local and 8, acod on ld, then used tgar to allow or deny access.. we used those tables in 49 to stop 1 0 as a 1st digit.. if you don't see the command in 49, i'll look it up tomorrow..(been a while)
