I have a bcm 400 3.7 in main office, we have a small garage miles away with 6 I2004s that work off the main sites system via vpn. In the garage I need to be able to page. The problem is I have no where to interface my page unit(because there is no system) My thoughts were a voice call to a phone that has the speaker leads hooked to the page input but just wanted to put this out to see if any one has had similar situation and found a better solution.

Thanks

I did this with an old PC with a sound card. Load an i2050 on that PC, put that i2050 in it's own page zone (zone 3, for example). Connect the output of the sound card to the paging system input, page to zone 3, and you're done.

It's cheaper than sacrificing a i2002 or i2004. Almost everybody has a crusty old PC laying on the shelf.

thanks. I have many old pc just never thought of that thanks again!
