Hey all we have ip500v2 with r9 and are using an analog port set to *paging mode* in ipo manager

From there we bring it into a simple 70v amp which goes to 10 or so speakers. No vox on the amp. Its a dumb amp. No paging bells or whistles.

The problem is the ipo seems to send a signal all the time even when no voice. Since im connected to the 70v amp on a regular input I hear "shhhhhhhhh" on the speakers. Its really load and anniying on the indoor speakers.

If I disconnect the cable from the paging port on ipo they sound fine when idle. Can barely hear them. So its the blank signal coming from upo that we are hearing.

My question, is there a small device that will cut off line level if no voice is detected? Like a mini vox device. Sinple line input and output. With vox.

That is what I always keep in by bag. Works great. 600-680 is fine.
