Paging over loud speakers ip 500

I have a customer that wants to be able to call(from anywhere) go in to an AA dial an EXT and go over the paging system . loudspeaker and phones.

Can this done

Create a virtual user (user/ H323 extension) > FWD the user to the paging ShortCode > point an Incomming Call Route to the User.

You can dial in and make a page over the handsets speakers, but not over a overhead paging system at the same time, at least as far as I know it's been tried but don't think anyone got it too happen

So if I set up 2 Paging groups on 2 ext it should be ok .

One for loaud speakers and one for phones.

Do i need a tam b or just the port

TAM (or UPAM) generally necessary if using an analog extension port as the page port

why cant you page over the speakers and the handsets if you have the speakers on an analog port and in a hunt?

Before 4.0, you could page overhead and phones simultaneously by putting them into a hunt group. I haven't gotten it to work since no matter how I configure the extension attached to the overhead speakers. I would also like for it work again.

I think you need to retry because in the docs the say it can the call it "mixed paging"

I have read that paging doc. Just can't seem to make it work like it did even back in 1.3. I suspect when they screwed around with analog disconnect it broke, but I could be wrong as I don't consider myself a paging expert - it has always been somewhat difficult on the IP Office.
