I have a customer that has IPO 500V2 and they want it connected to a Valcom v-2006a 6 zone amp. We currently have it connected via the analog extension and in programming its changed to a page port. Short code is build and the port is connected to the blue pair of the tip/ring of the Valcom amp. We can make pages but the issue is that we can make zoned pages due to dtmf disconnect problems.
I'm being told that they would need a CO port for that to work but the problem is that they don't have one. Any ideas??

Easiest is either analog trunk or analog station with station-level paging adapter (ring the analog station, interface answers with dialtone, you dial zone). If you have additional interface to V2006 bgm input, you can get simultaneous page to external and telephones. You just need to pre-select which zones broadcast the bgm.

Yep, trunk port is the way to go. I have a ton of Valcom systems on my IP500s and they work flawlessly but you need to go with a trunk port for what you're trying to do.

Yeah I figured that would do it, just was hoping that I could have had another solution but there isn't any without spending more money. Thanks guys for your help much appreciated as always :)

The cost is trivial. Back in the day the costs of phone systems was immense compared to now.
