Is there anyway to program the IP Office to page both speakers and phones using an Analog Trunk Port for the Speakers? We have a Group Page button that has a Hunt group with users programmed to it. Paging over the speakers works with a short code programmed (*88) with a dial feature and the line group. I have build a user with an unconditional forward to this short code and added the user in the Page hunt group. I can dial either the short code or user extension and paging over speakers works. When I do the Group Page button, the page comes out over the phones, but not the speakers.

Any suggestions?

You can't put a trunk in a hunt group, you need to page thru an extension. Put that extension in a "page all" hunt group.
This will work. Now the hard part is every time I do this it seems to take a different approach every time to make it actually work right. So I will sit back and hope others chime in on this "many times covered" topic.

I had a bogen TAMB2 hooked to an analog extension 240. VM is off, call waiting off, wrap up time 0 seconds. Set to IVR port. Short code *70 set to "Dial Extn", telephone number is 209 (the hunt group for paging).

Well, you dial that page and all the phones work fine but the page system rings over the speakers for a few seconds before it answers.
After several hours of on job site fiddeling we hung a 1403 phone on the wall and modified its speaker to feed the page system. That works.

Im hoping for a better solution from somebody else here.

surely the analog extn port type should have been set to Paging?

Computers are like Air conditioners:-
Both stop working when you open Windows

I have tried to add the extension that is unconditionally forwarded to the short code that "dials" the spreakers to the page group but that doesn't work.
Short code and extension will both page the speakers but not through a group page.

The customer is running an old Bogen page Amp with a PagePlus module in between which is where our problem lies.

Every time we connect through an analog port, it cuts off the music through the speakers and no paging. I have tried it as both analog port and IVR.

I know I can make it work on an analog extension with another Bogen Page Amp which would allow us to remove the page plus.

Problem is we just migrated from Partner to IPO and the customer doesnt want to spend any more money on a Page Amp.

If you create a dial paging short code with the analog paging extension, does it connect or ring busy? If it rings busy, put a 470 ohm resistor from radio shack on the tip side and it will hold the page port open and should fix your problem.

This resistor trick also works when getting phones and a page port in the same group for valcom solutions.

I will try that again. I think we needed disconnect thus the IVR.
