NEC NEAX 2000 IVS system. SN610 attendant console w/ dterm series iii workstation phones. 5 departments.
Looking to find out how to activate the speaker (not the little red light - that isn't it) on the different department phones. When the receptionist dials the page #(200 in our case) it is audible only in a few departments, but not in all. So not everyone is in the 'loop' (haha - SN610 console joke). Is there a way to activate them? and if so, how?

I think you will find there is a maximum of 16 (00-15) members in a paging group and a maximum of 8 groups (00-07). Check out CMD 56.

Whoops forgot to mention that fact. Nice pick up.

I would check if #200 is actually the all page or just the code for the group that recieves the page. Check Cmd 20X (probably 200)

Yeah, I know there is a page setup for 201, 202, 203, .. but don't know where they page (might not have active phones connected to them anymore). How would I take 201 (one we don't currently use), clear the phones they are paging to & reprogram them to phones that are in use...
step by step if you wouldn't mind, I have to books, but have No Clue how to decypher them.

I was hoping someone else would tackle this but in the absence of any other offer....

First do you know how to log in and get to the command prompt?

if you do then you need cmd 56XX where xx is the paging group you want to work on. If you don't let me know and I'll talk you through that as well assuming you have a password or the system doesn't need one.

so the sequence from the cmd prompt assuming group 00 would be 5600 "de" (recall key) 00 "de" this will display the current entry if you want to delete it press the third key on the top row of programmable buttons three times (this should show in the display as CCC) then "exe" (CNF key)

If you didn't want to delete that entry or you have just deleted an entry you can then press spkr to step on to the next member in the group.

when you have finished with the 15th entry in the group (16th member as we started with 00) press the ANS key and this will take you back to the point above just after (recall key) you can now go through the group agan and where you previously deleted an entry you will see none simply dial in the new extension number you want here and press "exe".

when you have finished with this group press the LNR/SPD key to get the command prompt back and start again with the next group cmd 5601 and so on.

Hope this helps.
