Hi John,

We traded posts last week regarding my issue with Meridian OP11C BRI out PRI to connect 2 Polycom videoconference systems.

I'm posting my code below - please let me know if you see anything incorrect.

As mentioned, when I'm dialing from the Polycom to setup the vc call, everything seems to look great - ie. it 'connects' to far end (I get connect ack when monitoring the d channel msgs), I monitor the b channels and both are in busy state, I monitor from the Ascend IMUX and they say 'dialing' ... 'connecting' ... then 'online 64K' - I'm sitting there holding my breath waiting for a picture to pop up on the screen. But it holds in this state for about 10 seconds - then disconnects.

Code as follows:

TSP (I've only programmed one TSP so far - I was going to program the other 2 when I get one of them tested and working). Also, the SPIDs are DIDs on the PRI (I've changed them here as this is a public post), and the DNs are just spare DNs that I assigned in the Option 11):

REQ PRT
TYPE TSP
DSL 5 0
OPT

USID 1
MPHC NO
SPID 9055551212

DN 5529 0

MCAL 4
CLIP YES
PRES YES
COLP NO
TRANS NO
FEAT HTD FND SFD CFTD MWD FBD CFXD

DFDN 5531

And when I stat it, it gives me this:

.STAT 5

SW DSL L2 #TEI L1 D-CHANNEL RCVY CLK MODE
==== ==== ==== ==== ==== ========= ==== ==== ====
00 = IDLE LINE ESTA 2 UP
01 = IDLE LINE RLS 0 DOWN
02 = IDLE LINE RLS 0 DOWN
03 = UNEQ
04 = UNEQ
05 = UNEQ
06 = UNEQ
07 = UNEQ

... which looks great for the BRI.

Please let me know if there is anything else I can show to assist in troubleshooting.

Just a comment as well - as mentioned I only have one of the TSP's programmed for testing, so I'm trying to connect to the far end Polycom at 128K. The far end Polycom has 4 BRIs, so it's capacity is 512K. Would there be an issue connecting between 2 systems having different BRI pipe sizes? I wouldn't think so - I would think it would just connect at the lower speed. But maybe I need to connect 1 or 2 more BRIs to get connect ... possible? Also, for the SPIDs ... what is the significance of them? Can I just put any number in there? Or are they actually used in call setup? Are they used for inbound, outbound, or both?

Thanks all - any help that can be provided is greatly appreciated!!

JP is on vacation for 2 weeks, but my money says you'll hear from him before then!

you win eddie.. does that spid give you a problem.. seems that 9 plus might cause a problem,,, the rest of your code is clean.. try ld 96 enl serv for that route.. stat serv... you may need service msgs for setup.. and you may need vce instead of vod... and i have had one refuse to est unitll i added the rls of the far end..

remember that everytime you make a change.. dis the msdl and re-enable it fdl...

Thanks John !! ... I'll try the service msgs idea ... and will change to vce rather than vod ... for far end rls id, I thought that only applied to rls of another Meridian system ... I'm connecting to a Bell DMS100 ... so I'm not sure of the release ... I'll check the ntp's and see if there is a dms100 default to put in there ...

thanks again ... and enjoy your vacation !! ...
