I am not sure how this is happening, but someone keeps sending a fax to the paging loudspeaker for the entire hospital. TAC 850 COR 57. I am being asked to find out who it is, but apparently I can't list trace tac 850? I can change and review the COR and who has access to it, but in the short term, I am just wondering how I can get it to stop. Or if I can just busy the port out and if that would work. Fax sends 3 times. Running CM 6.2

I take it you don't have a call accounting system? You could check all the calls to that extension...

I do, but it doesn't record calls to a paging loudspeaker tac. Also can't list trace it. It also does have a unique COR, but it was created 30 years ago, so I have been told not to change it, because who knows who is accessing it. That is why I just for now, need to know how to stop it, which I am guessing, just busy and release the port.

Busy and release the port will cause the fax call to end, but it will make two more attempts (Fax sends 3 times).

I am guessing it is a user issue dialing Area code 850 without the ARS access code. Area code 850 is in use for the Florida Panhandle, including Pensacola, Tallahassee and Panama City. Maybe a fax machine has been replaced recently and ARS access code (example "9") is not being inserted. Users take a while to adjust to change.
