`Hi All

I have an 8.0.61 system I just installed and can't get the paging speaker to work properly. Ideally I want it to work overhead and sets at once. I had set an analog station port to paging put a butt in off hook and yanked the power and powered it back up with the butt in still off hook which should keep the line off hook for paging. I've done this to at least 5 other systems without issue. In this case the paging only works if I leave my butt in on the line off hook. As soon as I take the butt in off it hang itself up and doesn't work again. Without it setup that way I can't get paging to the sets and over head to work at the same time.

I ended up going with just overhead and set it to an IVR port so it drops loop current for a few seconds to let the TAMB know to hang up. The cust is okay with just overhead but I would like to figure it out.

Any thoughts?

install an 600 ohn resistor going across the tip pair on the analog port, should work fine.

The system needs to continue to see a 600 ohm resistance on the line I'd wager, did you also set the port to the relevant setting i.e paging speaker/IVR :)

Thanks for the fast replies. Yes the TAMB2 I'm using has a 600ohm resistance built in.

I've tried both IVR and paging speaker and made the required dip switch changes on the TAMB.
