Is this even possible to do? I asked in a previous post how to extension dial only for a phone in the drivers lounge. This part is working great. They are asking if someone can call or page this extension so the intercom of the phone comes on and they can talk without anyone having to pick it up. If you can picture drivers in a lounge area, another extension (shipping office) can just speak through the drivers lounge phone as an intercomm or paging device without having the phone ring and someone pick it up. This way they can address everyone in the room. Have in IP 500 using IP Office.

I believe Dial Paging with the drivers lounge extension in the action data should do it.

Thank you Cat5Jive. Found what you were talking about and made the change. Tested out fine. Really appreciate your quick response.

It doesn't emulate a nortel feature, it was available in IP Office on day one of the introduction.
It is similar as the nortel feature, but nortel has gone and avaya did not ( yet ).
You can also enable auto answer on the drivers phone then you only have to dial the extension number

A simple mind delivers great solutions

Dial Paging works as long as you don't want them to answer you back. It will just be paging the phone. Although if you want a response from the people in the driver's lounge program the button for Automatic Intercom with the user field set to the Lounge Ext. Then you will be able to communicate with them as well.

Have you tried creating a Short Code for Voice Call
Code - *XXX
Feature - Dial Direct
Telephone Number - N
line group - 0
When you want to voice call any extension, dial * before the extn no
hope this helps!
