I am pretty new to IPOffice (3.2.65) and VMPro. I have gotten a good understanding of the 406/403/401 units and have been addressing groups left over by the old company that "supposedly serviced" our system (Thats another story)

I have a Paging group number 181, and on the reception phone I have a button for DiagPage 181 and all is good. We have a back door phone number that bypasses the reception and jumps straight to the autoattendant in VMpro so employess can check voicemail and direct transfer. I want to have an option # that will also jump to the dialpage 181. Playing around in call flow, I don't see an option for Page, I tried Transfer, but that doesn't seem to allow me to specify the 181 group.

Ideas?

Please be gentle - I am new to VMpro (Yes I have a solid backup of the database).

I don't think that IPO will support direct access to the page group from a trunk. What you CAN do is to create a module that records the desired page announcement then transfers the call to a particular location (park or Hunt Group or somewhere) - then using a post-dial action will make the actual page announcement. Inside staff can then retrieve the waiting caller from part or hunt or wherever you told VMPro to send it.

Not sure I understand.. someone mentioned it might be possible with the "whisper" to the paging group.

I think the wisper is close to what you want

The way I have done it in the past is what mforrence referred to. Dial into VMPro, record a message (listen then approve), then use a Post Dial function to play to a group or specific user. There is a significant benefit in that you can listen to and/or re-record the message before it is broadcast.
