Hello all,

I have an issue with our paging at one of our locations. The users state that they are getting a message
"Destination busy activate ring again, then goes to a fast busy, on all 3904 phones.
The page is setup as autodial 88. I found the code in ld21
as ACOD. However I am stuck withe where to go from here.

Here is what i found in LD 21.

In ld 21 do a ltm 2 for route 2 it will show you all the members of the route which should be just one member. Then id ld 11 stat that tn. If it is busy you can disu the tn and then enlu the tn. then stat the tn again and see if its idle.

It might be that your paging equipment is hung. Cycling the power to it might help. If that is not it, in LD 21 do an LTM and look for route 2 and you will see all TN's associated with that trunk, you can test there too, after pulling the jumpers.

Thank you mitnorpbx and trvlr1 very much! I appreciate the assistance, it now works...how crazy is that!

you can setup a auto disconnect on the route after say 60 seconds

If I set up a timer on the route will that automatically
disconnect the last person who used the page function and keep it from going busy?

Can your ACOD be 2 digits? I had a similar problem with 1000B and I had to rebuild the RDB and Trunk as a WAT. Not sure if this is the same issue as your are having though.

ACOD can be as little as one digit if thats what you want. What you have to make sure of is that the number you choose does not interfere with any other number range you are using.
The problem with using the timer is that if somone has a long message (CEO talking to all his/her minions ...) they will be cut off. So if you do use that, make sure everyone who might use the paging system are aware of it.

One more question.
If you have more than 1 paging section in a group,
how do you move 1 phone from group 3 to group 1?

here is what i found so far.

not sure what you are asking by groups - do users dial 8003 and then something else for the group?

ld 21
ltm
0
3

that will give you an analog cot tn, you can stat disu enlu that tn in ld 32.. the tfd forces the page trunk to idle, it would then be ready to take the next call,,

very common problem with loop start trunks
