I setup a button to "Dial Paging" however the button doesnt work if you lift the handset off the hook before you press the button. If you press the button before you lift the handset off the hook all is well. This is anoying for alot of users and was wondering if there is a fix.

Thank you and have a great day

Unsure if this is "working as designed".
If you want to work-around it, use feature Dial on the button and match it to a shortcode that will dial the paging system or the hunt group for paging the phones. Therefore, picking up the handset will get you dial tone and pressing the button will dial the shortcode for paging.

That is a great suggestion. I have noticed that alot of the buttong act that way including the Hold button. It seems that the phone cannot be active when you try to answer a held call either, you must hang up or "drop" the call then press hold. This is kind of annoying for our users. I guess its a learning curve.

Thank you

You can take "auto-hold" off. It's an option under your system Telephony tab in Manager. Just uncheck autohold. I personally do not like that option and usually uncheck it unless my client wants the feature.
