Hi all,

I need to have the capability of paging remote BCM's. I was wondering if anyone has done this before? I have 3 seperate plants, each with their own BCM and all our connected on our WAN. We are looking at having a centralized reception so our receptionist in our main plant needs to have a button setup so she can page either of the two other cities, somehow going over the wan to the bcm and then paging.

Any ideas/suggestions are greatly appreciated

Note: Main BCM is 3.6, the other two are 3.7

as i posted weeks ago. Use the softphone and hook the speaker leads to your page input.

endlesswinter... I have 3 seperate BCM's I need to page to, this would require 3 softphones running on one PC (correct me if I'm wrong). First off I won't be able to get approval for 3 licences for this because it's not efficient. Second our receptionist can't be flipping through softphones trying to find the one she needs to page everytime.

I know your solution would work, but I can't use it in my situation

Does anyone know of any way to combine feature codes with other numbers in the programming of a button?

I've been playing around on the BCM again, and would be great if i could program my route code 7 to connect to the remote bcm, then send along the feature code to page.

Thanks! I've spent the past hour or so messing around myself, looking at remote access. I read more about remote access and DISA .. what bob suggested earlier.

Having trouble fully understanding it and setting it up, but overall what I gather is you can dial a DN internally (or externally if needed) and it will auto answer (if set to) and if using DISA it will ask for you COS password (hopefully will work blank) and then you can type feature codes, but using * code instead of the feature button. If I could get this working, I could program the extension reception would have to call and at least get it down to just having to dial * CODE and zone to page.. which is still a bit too much for them to do each time. If I could somehow program a pause and then have it dial the page code and allow them to choose the zone even that would be good.

I'm still trying hard for the one button or close to it approach lol
