[PAGES] COMMAND REMOVES FOOTER?

When i put the command for "Page # of #" in my page footer, it wipes out the footer. Nothing shows. Take away the command, and all is well again. Anybody seen this before? If I just put the =[page] by itself, no problemo. When you add the [pages] code, no more footer.

I must total the page numbers for the report. Government regulation. Help!

What is the control source for your footer control. "Standard" is:

="Page " & [Page] & " of " & [Pages]

If this is OK try different combinations, eg:

="Page " & [Page] & " of " & [Page]
="Page " & [Pages] & " of " & [Page]

I know this isn't what you want but might help get to the root of the problem.

I have tried those options, but still get a blank footer whenever I use the [pages] command. [page] is fine, but counting multiple pages is whacked. I have a code on the report that changes the footer based on the page number. Page 1 shows a footer with a signature and disclaimer. Pages 2 onward will hide that footer. Perhaps that is screwing up the counting of multiple pages?? Is there a code that I can count the pages another way? Maybe with a counter and a text box that references the value?? I dunno.

Did I help you with this problem before? Sounds familiar....

You need to establish whether the [Pages] value is really
not working or it is something to do with the page 1 or not condition. So, try doing a normal page of pages footer first. If this is OK, post how you are affecting the switch after page 1. Best Regards,
