Hi,

I have a IPOffice 403 DS unit with a connecting POTS30 unit.
One of my analogue ports on the POTS 30 is set as a pager port, the customers existing speaker has broken, and the customer has purhased a new one (this speaker is literally off a hi-fi system) when connecting this there is a continous buzzing from the speaker - this is the problem.
Is there any way i can get rid of this buzzing.

There is no amp inplace.
Do i require an amp or is there a speaker thats compatible when connecting directly to the ip office analogue port set as a pager with a piece of cat5?

Appreciate any feedback, cheers

James

No, you will need an Amp. Depending on which Amp you get, you may need a UPAM or something inline to connect to the Amp.

Thanks for the reply, much appreciated.

Any recommendations as to a suitable amp??? Or a point of contact as to where they can be purchased - website for example. Can you get them from telecoms vendors eg nimans or westcon????
Surely it wont need to be a all singing all dancing music style amp. Company in question arent looking to spend alot of money.

Nimans have a very good range, On all PA systems we use the TOA adaptor, this has given us fantastic results ensuring we dont get any issue with them.
