2. Usually I receive .jpg file. Kindly tell me the step by step by method of working that file for the best result.

3. While we send a .p65 file for print out in HP printer, is it possible to see in the output 'time and date of the file printed'?

Thank you

Hi, kondagaisoundar,

The best way is not to use jpg at all, especially when using a PS printer.

Recommended Workflow for Creating PageMaker Publications

"4. Use the appropriate graphic format.

PageMaker supports many different graphic file formats. When you create graphics for a project, consider how you plan to print the publication. For example, if you plan to print color separations of a publication, place EPS files, DCS files, or CMYK TIFF files only. PageMaker cannot print separations reliably of other color graphic formats. Because EPS graphics contain PostScript code that a non-PostScript printer cannot interpret, use graphics in another format, such as TIFF, if you print to a non-PostScript printer. (Non-PostScript printers print the screen preview of an EPS graphic. To get the best results when printing an EPS graphic, set graphics display to High Resolution in the General Preferences dialog box.)"

As far as I know there's no script ot macro in PM that reads the file date/time and enters it on the page.

looks like manual job to me. Sorry.

Hi kondagaisoundar,
I did manage to find a PM script that will automatically put in the date and time of a document that perhaps you could run just before sending your print job to the printer, which may be close enough for what you have in mind. Of course, you'll have to update the document to create a "current" date periodically. I tested it in PM7 and it worked OK.
Check the following link:
Hope it works for you.
