k, I am almost graduating from the "idiots learning mac tricks" class, thanks to the good people on this thread.

I wonder how I can transfer bunch of pagemaker pro files from a mac to PC. Is a program such as timbatku (spelling?)
needed.

thank you!

Mac PageMaker files should move to the PC without much trouble. Make sure the filenames have .pmd, .p65, .pm6 (etc.) extensions so the PC will understand what they are.

The same holds true for the linked image files.

Fonts are another matter entirely...

Once you have prepared your pagemaker file as stated by jimoblak, you can use one of the following to transfer between the two operating systems.

Assuming your on a LAN, try these:
(Timbuktu does offer dial-up connection as well, but because of the speed, better just burn a CD or Zip)

Timbuktu is remote control and file transfer software.
You will need a version on both your Mac and your PC.

I have used MacLAN by Miramar also.
This will allow your MAC to share files with your PC through Appleshare via the chooser.

I prefer Timbuktu and have been using that since 1995.
Great product!

Em
