Lately I have noticed that when I close PM that all of the fonts under my icons on the desktop become garbled as do the fonts in any new document or application that I open. In order to correct it I have to reboot. I have tried removing and reinstalling the program but that did not seem to work (although instead of crashing 5 times a day it reduced it to 2 or 3). I have also checked my video display adapter and monitor driver and those are fine. Any suggestions?

Appears to me that you have a windows problem and NOT a PM problem. I certainly wopuld consider re-installing windows again. Ol' Man Herb

We just had this same thing happen at work & it turned out to be a problem with a Font Folder (someone put one on our team server which conflicted with the one on our individual hard drives).  When the System Admin removed the one from the team server, the problem popped up on a few of the PCs. It was a nightmare to try to fix because of the number of people on our server and the variety of software packages. We ended up just putting the Font Folder back on the team server.
