I understand that you can use a function to tell you what page you are on compared to the total number of pages in the ENTIRE REPORT; but is there a simple way to get a footer to show the page number as a function of the total number of pages IN THE GROUP?
Example:
Group A spills over to a second and a third page. I have a footer that displays on the second and third pages of the group (suppressed on the first page), so that the reader of the report knows where he or she is. If the Group Header on the first page of Group A says "GROUP A", then the footer on pages two and three of the grouo says "Group A (cont.). No problem.
However, my boss would like these subsequent footers to say "Group A - p. 2 of 3"
so that, when the group changes to Group B, the footer on pages two and three of Group B would say "Group B - p. 2 of 3" or "Group B - p. 3 of 3 -- and so on.
Is this more trouble than it's worth, or am I going to have to commit to endless subreports (there may be eight or nine groups)?
