Page Valcom vip-201 SIP station and sets at same time

Like the title says, I am trying to make pages to the vip-201 over sip and to the sets simultaneously. I have no problem doing this to typical analog station and a page controller. The issue is that to page the vip-201 you have to just dial the station not dial page. I don't know if there is a way to make the vip-201 respond to dial page maybe? This is my first experience with this unit and I am thinking I should of got the vip-801 and just converted one output to IP for that site rather than have the whole building IP.

If any one has any experience with this unit I appreciate any help.

I called valcom as a heard there support was pretty good and they were less then helpful. Belittling me and making me feel stupid seemed to be his goal. Think I am going to start to look at bogen after this experience as an alternative, but I have to figure this out first. If anyone has a better product to do this suggestions are welcome. If I have to chalk the cost up to a learning event then so be it.

the manual states via station and trunk mode, how do you have it set up? They say this product supports Avaya, I would have them give you what documentation they have. It might support CM not IPO.

They are a dev connect partner and there is a pdf on setting up the sip portion of the vip-102. But station and vip-102 simultaneously is the issue. They dont describe how to setup the actual paging part in the document. The document can be found here,

the one at the bottom is IPO specific. I forgot to mention in the first post that this is a 8.0.43 IPO.

which one did you use. What license do you have IP Endpoint or Trunk?

do you have an extension setup for this or a SIP line, to do what you are talking about it needs to be an extension.

OOh sorry, I set it up as a 3rd party ip endpoint and set ip of as a station not as a trunk. Station is 250 if I just dial 250 from any set if automatically starts to page. If I try to do a group page or dial direct it gives me a busy like when a analog station is not set up correctly.

Dial paging directly to that extension gives me a busy. Today is my first day messing with this vip-201, and thank you for all your help. I am somewhat new to IPO from the whole nortel thing. We dont do a lot of systems and I dont exactly understand how the system treats dial direct and dial paging differently verses dialing the extension from the keypad. I assume it how it sets up the call path, but not sure what the differences are.
