Anyone run into this. Bcm 400 4.0 software. Have the box checked no tone when feature 62 is selected??????

Not sure of your question, are you asking if you can remove the page tone when using external page(feature 62)?
If it's the case, yes by unchecking the page tone box in global settings.

What I was asking is I want the tone sounded when F62 is pressed. It's not working with the box checked?

If that box is checked and you are able to page through the speakers, then either the BCM is not putting out the tone or your paging system is not passing it. To check the BCM, just cip on a butt set to the page output and then page. If it's putting out the tone then it's the paging system.

Are you also using the page relay to trigger the amp? Since we don't know what your paging system is it's a bit difficult to go into detail, but if the page tone is being output, it is likely that the page system has a delay before the voice is allowed to pass and that may cause the tone to be missed.

If, on the other hand, the tone isn't even coming out the BCM, a power off reboot will likely solve it.

When you do a speaker page there is no tone and you can't turn it on the tone is only for phone page. That can be turned on or off.

Oooops............cook is correct. Page tone is not generated out the page port. If you want that, it must be provided by the paging system itself.

My mistake too.. guess i'm too used to program page button with "feature 630",never realized the page tone was coming from the sets only.

If your amp cannot send a page tone, i suggest you use a spare phone(cheap M7100)and connect its speaker as the input of your amp, for sure you'll get the tone then. That's how i supply paging in remote areas where Ip Phones only are installed.
