Hi All, I am running Crystal 2008 v 12.2.9.698 against a SQL database and have a report that has 2 subreports in group headers and one in the report footer.

I can run these reports in designer and export to pdf with no trouble with some of the parameter selections. And with others, I get the error mentioned in the subject line. I thought this possibly indicated a data issue, but the data is the same for all I have tried changing page sizes and reformatting the subreports with no luck.

The 2 subreports in the group headers are a set size...one showing 10 lines in a crosstab and one showing a graph which is smaller than a page.

I have tried deleting the subreport out of the footer since that is the only one that can grow but still get the error.

The main report has a crosstab which spans several pages in some cases and displays with no trouble. Other posts have indicated that it is an issue with the subreports crossing pages, but I have resized to smaller than a page with no luck.

thread149-1489112 mentions is same error, but did not seem to have a solution, or at least one that helped me.

Any help is greatly appreciated!

Try suppressing the group headers one at a time to see if it is the crosstab or the chart. You mention also that the error is related to the parameter choices, so I think you should also try suppressing both group headers and placing the relevant fields in the detail section to see how many values are being returned and then see if that helps identify what the problem might be.

As I said, I have not seen this happen except with page header or footer sections, but maybe the subreports do potentially create this situation.

Thank you. I was able to resolve this issue by rebuilding the main report and then adding the existing sub report. Very weird, but it worked.

Thanks for your help!
