Hi,

I am using CR 2008.Is there any way to change page orientation dynamically.

That means,I want to have some sections of the report in landscape. Also, whenever the section switch to landscape the page header and page footer for that section also should be changed to landscape.

Can someone help me.

Thanks.

It was definitely not possible on all versions up to Crystal 11. I'd suppose it is still true with CR 2008.

Crystal 2008 allows you to set a different page orientation to each section, but that option does not have a dynamic expression.

So, to solve your challenge, you should create 2 versions of each section, one for Portrait and one for Landscape. Then, use Suppress property expressions to show one version and hide the other.

Hello all ... I'm new to the forum (and Crystal) and I think my question ties into this thread.

I'm using split page footers in my report (done through the section expert - insert feature), and I need to have one of these footers be landscape. I'm surpressing (depending on drilldowngrouplevel) the proper footer with no problem, but the area in the section expert with the portrait/landscape option is greyed out for the page footers.

I had no problem orienting different sections throughout the rest of the report (group headers, group footers and so on), but I notice that that area in the section expert is greyed out in the page header AND page footers. Am I missing something? Or am I simply doing something wrong?

Thanx in advance for any help!

Does the Help section->page orientation explain this? I don't have CR 2008, but I would guess that the page headers/footer orientation would have to match the section immediately below/above respectively.

Hi lbass - thanks for the response. Alas, I just checked the 'help' option for that part of the section expert (setting orientation by section) and found this ...

"Note: This option is not available for the Page Header and Pager Footer."

Bummer.

So it looks like I'll have to go without a page footer on my drilldown screens. Not the biggest deal in the world, but probably something they (SAP) ought to think about for their next rev.

Thanks again.
