How do I get IDCS2 to let me put my page number 1 (which is actually the 4th page of the document) on the left in facing pages - as soon as I do it it forces it to the right!

I started a new section and as soon as I put in "1" it forces it to the right and makes it a single page on the right side of the divider line... (it actually does this whether I choose a page on the left or the right side to start with page 1).

How do you start a section with 1 and keep it as a spread without it jumping to the other side??

is this because I used facing pages??

turn off the allow pages to shuffle in the pages fly out pallette

...another work around if using facing pages is to (for example a 16pg) create a 17pg doc, select page 2, renumber it via numbering and section options to page 16, select page 3 and renumber this to page 1, finally delete the top page in the pages palette...
